Video Game Reviews of LuminesCustomer Review: Simple, Yet Addictive Summary: 5 StarsWhen I first got my PSP I had a hard time deciding which game to buy. First I bought Twisted Metal and after about 3 weeks it had gotten boring so I bought Lumines. I had been reading in magazines and on the Internet about how great this game was so I just picked it up. At first it reminded me of Tetris but after playing it a few times I realized that it was something much greater. The gameplay is hard to describe in words. It's a puzzle game so what more can I say? The game looks great and it has a great soundtrack. I sometimes find myself popping this game in the PSP and end up playing for almost an hour nonstop. I've had it for almost 6 months now and I still play it more than any of my other PSP games (Even GTA: LCS). If you're looking to purchase a PSP but can't decide which game to buy, Lumines is a great place to start.
Customer Review: well... Summary: 5 StarsThis game is good, infact, great. But for $30 it aint worth it.Its fun but there arent so many modes to look forward to and there is only 1 mode where you can unlock new things, but it keeps getting harder and when you loose, you dont win anything or you win some little things.Point is,great game, wait till the price drops or rent it.
Customer Review: Lumines the new tetris Summary: 5 StarsThis game is a must have for PSP. It's like tetris only in that boxes fall down. However it requires you to be much faster and use more strategy. Several different modes of play keeps you coming back for more. My only gripes about this game is that it does not have infrastructure multiplayer and the first few songs in challenge mode get boring.
Even my mom likes this game.
Customer Review: Tetris for the club crowd Summary: 5 Stars Lumines is a great game for those looking for a game similar to Tetris. Ever since the original Gameboy came with that classic game, it seems that each new portable system needs to have that Tetris-esque title in their library. Well, Lumines is that game. Once you get used to the idea of creating squares, not rows or columns of three, for points and combos, you'll get the hang of it in no time. The in game menus and graphics are well done for a puzzle game. Loading times are minimal, which is a good thing for any game on the PSP. However, the background music is the co-star of the game as it augments the gameplay. The faster or slower you create combos, the faster or slower the music goes. The range of music ranges from disco and electronica to jazz and trip hop. There are some pretty good songs that make you bop your head to the beat. Also, when you clear a stage, you get a new skin and character for your collection. If you've got a friend with a PSP, the multiplayer option is pretty good. Lumines is defintely recommended for those who want a good pick up and play type of game for their PSP.
Customer Review: Lumines Summary: 5 Starsthis game is very addicting, like tetris with a fresh, cool modern twist. the music is groovy, and the rhythm of the game is great. a title definitley worth checking out for psp.
