There aren't a whole lot of things you can say about a battery pack. It's a simple thing and its either great or its not. This one is great! When you get it you will have to charge it up but it does extend the battery life by quite a lot. It seems at least double what the other battery was. Though it does make you wonder why they didn't just put this battery in the thing all along. Wait no it doesn't! Cha Ching!
Anyway the product works great, and if you find yourself playing your PSP more than a little bit its a great thing to have. It would be perfect for watching movies or playing games on a flight, or commuting via bus as you can eat up your batteries fairly fast and not have a place to recharge them.
I find myself playing mine quite often even while at home, and though I could plug in my power adapter and play, I find that slightly uncomfortable and this makes for a great alternative. Additionally if you have the 2000 or 3000 series the battery actually makes the hand held more comfortable to use. The battery is bigger and comes with its own battery pack doors, or lids or what have you. I thought this was a very nice touch. They include one silver and one black for different colored PSP models. The slightly thicker battery case door makes the grip a bit more contoured and therefore more comfortable to play for longer periods.
Overall a great product if you are the type who plays their PSP often, and the price is good considering all that you get.
