Customer Review: Fun pool game with annoying sounds.
Summary: 3 Stars
First off, I really do enjoy this game. It is a nice way to pass the time on an airplane, and having all of the different game options beyond 8-ball and 9-ball helps keep it interesting. I think it's a great PSP game for people who enjoy pool.
I do, however, have a few complaints:
1. Really horribly annoying music. I turned it off after about 5 minutes.
2. Really repetitive crowd noise. At first it was very amusing, but when you hear the same comment about 50 times in one game, the amusement fades. You can turn it off, but I like the idea and wish it had more variety.
3. It is initially unclear how a "win" is recorded. I won a few games but then when I looked in the notebook I found that I had no wins recorded! It turns out that if you don't play until one of you wins 3 out of 5 you don't get the win. I didn't realize this, and when you select "Stop Playing" it does not warn you of this. Mildly annoying.

In the game, portable pool players pick a protagonist, either Jack Stone or Kat Hudson, and take them up the ranks of the stick-shooting circuit. By betting some ducats on themselves and winning matches, gamers will earn cash to buy new items, such as cues and clothes, in local shops. Each of the modes has a number of challenges and opportunities to dazzle with trick shots, earning respect from fellow pool players.
